it’s funny because newjeans is more well known that they are being criticized for not having many japanese lyrics, but the boy group The Boyz have actually used korean, english, and japanese in their japanese releases. me personally i don’t see the issue since i like both groups, however it would’ve been nice to have a little more japanese since it is their japanese debut!

As someone who don't mind there being a few english in korean comebacks since most of the songs are written by english speakers. But i think for japanese comebacks there should be 95% japanese and 5% korean in the lyrics

japanese singers make music in english more than in japanese. supernatural is still considered a japanese release, they promote in japan all the time and japanese people dont have a problem with anything.
newjeans has always had songs with a lot of english and i think it's ok since two members are Australian. I also don't see anything wrong with making english songs by other groups. I would like to remind everyone that kpop doesn't mean songs wrote in korean. it means music from korea :) their lyrics can be in Italian and nobody should be mad about it

imo, it’s a Japanese release SO it shouldn’t have korean lyrics in it, it can have english n Japanese lyrics but it’s kinda dumb calling it a japan release when most of the lyrics are in english. basically like the new megan thee stallion new release. it’s not a japanese release its more of a english release.
