I think this was my first time I was actually impressed with Dave and his call out on a certain pizza type. Well done!

Jeffs wood fired pizza started as a mobile wood fired pizza trailer. There was a genuine wood oven that made every pizza. I know because I ran the topping station for a year when he first started. We rocked many a wedding and food truck event. When he got a brick and morter, the name came with it.
So no, he's not trying to trick anyone. Jeff is an honest guy that's staying true to his roots. Dude spent years perfecting his sauce alone.
Glad to see good things come his way.

Respect an owner who doesn't come out while Dave's scoring. Really respect when he comes in and he doesn't even ask fir score. He knows he makes good pizza.

As soon as he opened the box, I knew it was a New Haven "tribute" pie, and TBH it looked better than an 8.1, that looked like it could have easily slid into the mid eights.
