silly YouTube music web site was giving me the pop up like do you want to add youtube music to your desktop? when I click on add button nothing was happening. It was annoying. Thank you for showing how to add it. Thank you ma man!

That button in the search bar has now been replaced with a simple "Install YouTube Music" button - one click and it's done. Guessing videos like this one made it clear people wanted a desktop client! Thanks Scoby :)

For anyone in 2024, the process is slightly different. What you are going to do is click three dots icon, find the "Cast, save, and share", then choose the "Download YouTube Music..."

Thanks so much for the how-to! I slid my mouse over to the right & it automatically gave me a pop-up option to install the desktop app using Chrome!!!!
