Nice tutorial, what I didn't understand was that built-in ajax function you used. I'll have to search the documentation.
Also for others to know, mysqli is barely used today and mysql functions are outdated.. and yes I am crying inside because i'm too dumb to learn pdo.

Hello, Awa Melvine. I need help.

Once I use an if statement in the php file which I am using as url
property of $.ajax then the ajax code is not working anymore. I can
insert values in the database without handling errors (without if
statements) but once I use any if statements the ajax is instantly
broken and nothing happens. I can't figure out why. I don't have a
single mistake in my if statement codes, I have already used this code
without ajax and it worked fine.
