After having my 27' ft above ground steel walled pool on a concrete pad (and had it saw cut which may have helped with "drainage") for 7 years, I didn't have rust or corrosion. I also had 2" pink board down under the liner so make it feel soft.

My pool is still not set up because trying to find best base to protect my liner and have a lil cushion. I did it last year with our old pool but on foam puzzle but didn’t have enough. And searched everywhere to find ones that interlocked with the current ones I have . I don’t want to give up, but damn

Aluminum rusts? Hmmm🤔 You talk about the surfaces scratching, but that has nothing to do with drainage. You guys don't know what you're talking about.

If I have a concrete pad and I want the pool in that area, can I build a border around it with two by fours and fill it with soil and then sand and put the pool on top of that?
