If you develop a rash or allergies from a watch, chances are you're allergic to the nickel or copper in it and will develop Contact Dermatitis. To avoid this, try watches with Titanium, Ceramic, Platinum and Tantalum instead of Gold, Bronze, Plated Metal and Stainless Steel.

NATO straps would also help with allergies because of the double pass the watch would sit high enough to where it shouldn’t irritate the skin throughout the day.

Certain sterling silvers dont use copper, it may just be selection by the manufacturer.
