Traxxas Maxx V2 4S speed run on 27/46 gearing - 62MPH

This is my Maxx V2 (factory widemaxx) with 27/46 gearing. The Sledgehammer tires that come with this are NOT meant for speed. They ballon worse than the original Maxx tires, and are supper squirly when above 45MPH. Besides the LED lights, motor temp sensor, and gearing, it's fully stock. This run was on a 4S LiPo and speed was measured with the SkyRC analyzer. Fresh battery yielded the same result.

That pinion and spur mark red on maxx v2 chart it say not recommend to use 26/46 is accelerate at 1.77 sec that would do nice high speed

Put a max 8 esc with stock motor on my maxx v2 with 26/46 gearing and the esc went up in smoke, think I might have ran for two long because all three capacitors was busted on a new esc with only three runs 😡🤦🏿‍♂️
