It's okay for a criminal to try to buy a gun .Waste the time of people waiting in line for a background check.The criminal walks away angry and no investigation is made . What's the point of having a background checks ? How many of the 15, 000 criminals turned away, just went out and stole a gun ? They should fine the ones attempting to purchase guns ! The ones caught with guns after trying to purchase failed should to jail time !

As the interview goes, only 44 of 15, 000 were prosecuted for applying to purchase a gun when they were not qualified due to past crime reports/records. In other words, just the fact that they went in and wanted to purchase a gun, they were violating their probation and/or release rules which are likely felonies.

Background checks are a waste of time too. Why? The government doesn't have that system or technology correctly sifting through the many resources they should not to mention, they don't prosecute those who stand out in those checks. Leave it up to government to make a mess out of it all. Not to mention, there's way too many legal gun owners who own guns long before any of this began so there's millions of them unregistered and without background checks. Think, better or worse 30-40 years ago?

It's already illegal for those people to buy guns. Saying that a murderer can legally buy a weapon is a fallacy. Why don't you learn about the gun laws we have right now before you start debating them.
