It’s just ridiculous that humans have to fight over whether to get vaccinated or not. Honestly, in Colorado, we have strict public health policies for Covid-19. We have lost several community members to covid-19 as well. Other counties had more trouble getting people to be vaccinated. But, the political movement over the federal government telling us what to do, is not worth all the fighting and protesting. Losing 900, 000 people to this virus should be enough of a warning in itself.

As a Canadian who studied political science, can I just point out the ignorance of using ones freedom to protest for ones freedom. The Charter grants the core freedoms of expression, assembly, association, movement, and due process. The very specific instances of exception when rights can be infringed are promoting hate, inciting violence and public health. In terms of public health, had it been invoked, it would have to be judicially approved with automatic expiration. However, existing health measures are provincial jurisdiction, they are targeting the wrong level of government. So we get to witness the spectacle of neo-fascists demanding something they already have out of anger that their health and well-being was prioritized when severe risk was identified. The combination of foreign nationalism, ignorance and entitlement is nauseating.

We had similar protests in Australia. No one knew those people, I'm pretty sure they were paid. What it ended up being about, was opening the International borders. The real truckers in Canada are saying they are vaxed, and don't know who these people are. Something smells icky.
