Well put! just one thing: the purgation of purgatory happens only to those who died in the state of grace, those who died in sin with no repentative penance through Confession will not go thru purgation but straight to hell.

We are following the Word of God. Scripture is God-breathed. You are correct. A person must be perfect to enter heaven. No one has lived a perfect life except Jesus Christ. We are able to enter heaven when we are united in Christ and clothed in His righteousness.

So what did our Lord die for? All our sins or just some. Protestants don't say sins after you accept Christ don't matter. That is a Catholic misunderstanding. When they do something wrong I won't deal with it, they won't be banished to hell, but we gonna deal with the problem, God forgives us, and saves us from an eternity in hell, that in no way means he is laid back ok with our sinning. The reformation was going on long before Martin Luther. Every Catholic I ever talk they always point to Martin Luther as if Martin Luther is the end-all and be-all of the reformation.

Martin Luther was a Catholic priest who had a problem with the Catholics telling people "unless you pay us money, you'll stay in Purgatory longer/go to Hell." After the Protestants broke off, the Catholics realized they had some issues and had a nice internal reformation.
Personally, I believe that Jesus didn't mess up on the cross.
