The Walking Dead - Beth's Death

This scene comes from season 5, episode 8. It shows the death of Beth.

Beth’s death really killed Daryl, her death effected him a lot more than even Merle’s death. And his character for a while went down hill. Loved the relationship they had.

Beth was one of my favorite characters. In a world so broken and depressing she breathed a little life back into it.

Seeing Daryl cry just hits different. It’s rare, and when he does it just hits us hard man, first his brother now Beth, gosh

This was the only death in the series that made me sad and Daryl's reaction was exactly mine.

Beth was the first person Daryl felt safe enough to open up to and have a real connection with. She released his spirit. Even when she was kidnapped, he felt completely lost without her. Daryl definitely had very special feelings for her, deeper than he realised at the time. She was the bright warm light at the end of a long dark tunnel that was suddenly snuffed out.

Out of all the deaths thus far on The Walking Dead...Beth's bothered me the most because it was so senseless. You were really starting to see her grow and become a woman and valuable asset to the group. They killed her off too soon...I wanted to see more of her and Daryl together. RIP Beth!!

The look that Beth gives her when the cop lady says “I knew you’d be back” gives me chills. This anger rose up out of the most sweet and kindhearted person in the entire group, and I’m here for it. She straight shot daggers at her. Just sucks knowing how it ends. Seeing Daryl’s reaction and him carrying her to Maggie just breaks my heart every time.

Beth didn't deserve what happened to her. I felt so bad for Daryl. I feel like he loved her and his reaction to seeing her get murdered right there in front of him seals the deal for me. Definitely a tear jerker. Poor Maggie had to see her family get picked off one by one. First her dad, then Beth, then Glenn. I feel so bad for her

it upsets me knowing that judith didn’t grow up with beth still alive so she never understood how much beth did for her or how much she meant to beth. beth was a big part of judith’s life and people don’t seem to realise that :(

I feel like out of all the deaths on TWD Beth’s had such an impact. The way they walk out of the hospital, it was like the last bit of innocence was gone. The way it pans out to show Maggie crying and the whole group with the city behind them, the acting and just everything was so perfect for this scene. To have him be the one to carry her out it was just so sad and perfect. Honestly beautiful acting.
