oh yeah I forgot to apologise for the video being two days late lol. Sorry about that, I'm a silly goose.

Someday Ryan will be sitting by his fireplace wearing a smoking jacket, a carved pipe in his fingers, as he speaks fondly of renovating his cosy little nook, or nest, then blows bubbles out of the pipe.

Bless Jenny Moon for being a "widow " to the renovation while Nick works with you. Also kudos for being so considerate of your neighbors. You always bring a smile to me.

No reason to feel guilty about not having the finances to really dig into renovations. Most of us have been there, , or still are. I will be watching your videos regardless of how many you do or whether they are Patreon or house renos. Sending ❤️

Thank you for considering your older neighbors. We are also older and find that some people around us are somewhat inconsiderate. We appreciate it so much when we don’t have to hear construction all the time!

Put up the buy me a coffee so those whom would not like to be a Patron can help in a small way. Your a nice guy and have taken on an over whelming project with very little experience.. I am glad Nick is coming back.

You have to get rid of all that concrete, Ryan. All it does is trap moisture behind it and cause major issues. I am hoping that cavity will be a window to the property behind, keeping my fingers crossed. Talk to your neighbours and make arrangements for days you want to do work. You might be surprised at how interested they would be and what skills and ideas they have to offer. You need to have a regular schedule and treat it as a job. You are project manager, occupational health & safety, labourer, designer, carpenter, stone mason, and so much more while doing this renovation.
Well, off to join patreon, at least for a while, 9 Aussie dollars may not do too much on it's own, but every little bit helps.

Thanks for being upfront about the financial realities of renovating an older home. Keep being straightforward and your YouTube career will flourish.

“Who am I to do this” the question should really be “who are you not to ask”
Working on your own is difficult and having a pal to help makes every job easier. I wish you luck with your project. I love your videos (having just found them)

Must have list: safety goggles, hard hat, construction boots. 👍

Ryan, Could you also do Buy Me a Coffee, if we want to give a little money from time to time?

once this building is back to bare bones you can make it all fresh and new and it will look amazing :)

Not selfish! You're essentially a TV show producer and writer.

Ryan, check with the neighbours about the noise and how much. I'm 73 and really my children keep telling me I need hearing aids. The nerve of them!! haha So maybe the noise might not be as much of a disturbance as you think. We have the house next door to us being renovated. It's done during the day, never early in the morning or in the evening. They need to get on with it and we have no problems with it all. Go for it.

Don't sell yourself short Ryan, you aren't twisting anyone's arm to fund your build, but there are people out there who will be very interested in contributing to the cause. It's really great to hear that Nick will be back, the two of you work well together and it's always better to have a second opinion and a helping hand. I do hope that you will receive loads of support for your build.👍

It has to look a whole lot worse before it’ll look better, Ryan. Excellent job. Love the stone work, especially that over the fireplace.😅😅

Another note to Ryan, you totally deserve all the support you can get, you have also helped The Moons immeasurably who I found through you. Thank you Ryan, you are all good people, and as a pensioner you all bring me untold pleasure as my late Husband and I used to renovate old places together. ☺️

Business option plan idea: More work days = more videos = more $. Forming a nice friendship with your elderly neighbors may enlist their interest and sympathies towards any inconveniences towards them. Win, win, wins! Just an idea.

The ‘crack on’ phrase is so catchy, my grandparents on both sides were British and they said it too. So of course I say it. It’s good to see you Ryan! After all this deconstruction you’ll know exactly what’s behind every nook and cranny! I can’t wait until you begin putting new materials in, I’m curious about your choices. One video a week is great, don’t apologize, I’m happy to see you as often as you can. Do what you need to do.

I was wondering why you didn't have a Patreon Ryan. You are so sweet to feel greedy about letting people help support something that is for self. Look at it this way it's great entertainment to watch your project, people really enjoy that seeing you here. I would gladly become a patron. Also that is amazing news about Nick Moon returning to help you. Things really move along when he shows up!
