I'll stick to condoms. I've known way too many women who have had adverse side effects on birth control and none of it is 100% effective. The ex roommate got the shot and bled the entire duration. Several of my friends ballooned up on the pill. Knew a girl with the tube implants, but I didn't know her well enough to know if anything happened to her because of it.

So many risks when you can just wrap it. Not even going to touch male variants, especially in their infancy.

I would like to clarify this is about a particular enzyme found in the cancer drug Cyclosporin A called Calcineurin. If they can produce this enzyme alone then this male birth control drug would not have the side effects of Cyclosporin A.

So you would not be ingesting an immunosuppressant drug as a birth control product... But yes, more research needs to be done before you can find it on the shelves.

I was never a fan of the female pill because of its known side effects. The monetary aspect you mention is also very valid, though. I have pretty much the same stance on male birth control pills. The common thing to happen when you take pills to solve something is they end up messing with something else. Even aspirins are not an exception to this rule (if you take too many, you'll get ulcers and other side effects) so one should only take pills when we have a health issue that can't be solved any other way imho.

My question NOW is, how many males truly think females can keep from falling in love with unborn child once it starts moving inside?

How many males will take daily bc pill to protect your right to not parent? How many males will use bc pill & condom to prevent STDs?

Oh wow, neat. I wouldn't have made the connection between calcineurin and sperm production. That being said, not a fan of the suppressed immune system side effect. It probably isn't going to work as-is.
Now if they can make specific inhibitors against the testes-specific calcineurin - that may be marketable.
