People are going to take it as some kind of challenge.

They will duct tape a handle onto a trash can lid for a shield, wear a rain Poncho, and eventually just settle on painter's overalls.
I love the idea, but the real world is far too competitive for this to be reliable. They will just find the side of the property that doesn't have one of these and hop the back fence. You would need 4 of them, and then the criminals would get BB guns and take out the cameras from 100 feet away, wearing a hoodie and sunglasses, too far for the camera to identify them and too far for the paintball to reach. Or more ironically, people could stand 10 feet from the property line, where you can't legally shoot at them, and use paintball guns of their own to disable the camera by covering it.

Even with all that said I think people will find dozens more ideas I can't even think of because people are creative. And they would assume that houses with these must be rich, and they must be trying to protect something really nice, so they are more likely to try to find a way in, and houses that only have 1 of these are going to be inviting people to hop the back fence.

YouTube might let you delete this comment, but don't think for a second that criminals need me to tell them how to do anything, they have their own brains and their own creativity that you can't just turn off.

Pretty much everyone has the same idea, some with a taser, but most with real lead. They do exist. Just not for everyone. Tasercam. PaintCam will also come with a tear gas round option. There is a US patent for a cam with projectile technology. 2016 and went somewhere (Security camera system with projectile technology).
