Hey Josh, I really dig your channel! I can't wait for this space to blow up! I do music production/mixing professionally and use HD600s every single day, for the exact reasons you laid out: focus on that crucial mid range. The same reason I like my old NS10s i guess! They don't hype the lows or highs, and they seem to expand the focus on the mids. I love that i can clearly hear the difference between a boost at 400Hz vs a boost at 450Hz, and the distance between 1k and 2k seems so wide and I can hear everything in between, you know what I mean?

What an excellent video production, worthy of this classic headphone. I’ve had a chance to try a lot of headphones, but for the combination of comfort and build quality and sound quality and the fact that most of the parts are replaceable, and for the enduring value and popularity this headphone has, its got to be considered one of the greatest headphones of all time.

Everything sounds “right” on this headphone. No part of the frequency seems boosted, it just sounds natural.

I like the 650 also, It is a little smoother and warmer and richer, but this one gets more ear time with me. I break out the 650 when I’m listening to classic 60s and 70s soul music and pop music. But for everything else I like this one.

You did a great job with this video, and I also enjoyed the comparison you did with the 650. It’s nice to see that the younger generation shares the same love and affinity for the series as I do.You have a new subscriber

Great review; I own six pairs of headphones and these are included in my collection! Beautiful smooth sounding headphones that’s suitable for most genre and some of the best mid range I’ve ever heard!

I use Sennheiser HD600 headphones with a link to motu m2 and mac os and Sonarworks sound id sound correction software. After the correction, the sound becomes even more interesting.

You said you had more experience in headphones than in dacs and amps but I really need help find a good tube amp in the $100 range I can use with my 600’s? I was gonna use a Geshelli dac enog2 Pro.

Bought mine in my first year in university. Well before we have YouTube or online reviews. Still using them, primarily for watching videos and movies. They never disappoint. Running them with a Marantz HD-DAC1.

Using the hd 600 with a pure class a headphone amplifier the sound that these headphones produce is amazing they are so neutral in sound with a 3d type presentation

Great reviews. Are you interested in IEMS? Because if you do I think there is lacking amount of videos on YouTube that actually keep up and do good reviews like yours of iems over headphones or speaker reviews. I'm a huge fan of iems but do not like many of the few consistent reviewers on YouTube because they say everything is amazing and don't compare and contrast them
