Gohan is and always has been my favorite character. I didn't even mind him giving up training I just wanted him to be happy. That said, I can't wait to see him kick some android ass

Wow this is actually very interesting. For starters it is animated with 3D models much like the Dragon Ball Fighterz game released a couple years ago. It also seems Gohan is going to be the main character of the movie rather than Goku like usual. It has always been about the story of Goku so I'm all for him typically getting the spotlight but it's nice to have it on other popular characters every now and then for a change. They hinted at him having some great power within in the Dragon Ball Super anime with how quickly he was about to redraw his strength and regain higher levels than before. I guess he's finally going to achieve this new form they've been hinting at in this movie.

Review on Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero

Just saw the movie in theaters. Gotta say the animation was superb. The story was well thought out and overall had a good pace to it. You can tell they spent a lot of time and money on it. It’s definitely a Piccolo and Gohan movie but I liked that it gave attention to the other side characters as well like Goten, Trunks, 18 and Krillen. It was definitely a team effort in defeating Cell Max. Beast Gohan would have beaten Cell Max eventually but I think this Gohan would have lingered and toyed with his prey the way SS2 Gohan did with the old Cell. Luckily, Piccolo can reel in Gohan and make him focus. He was guiding Gohan throughout the movie as he has done his whole life. Gohan does have a moral responsibility now that he’s one of the strongest in the universe. He can’t keep slacking for the sake of his job. He has more important things to worry about, like protecting the world, universe, etc… Because Piccolo is right in that he can’t always expect Vegeta and Goku to save the day. I think Gohan finally realizes his situation. He has a burden of having all this power, and I said burden because he can’t just go back to doing research/ his job full time which he loves without also training to maintain this Beast power. Hopefully, for the sake of Gohan’s development, he trains and stays on this course. He can still do his nerdy things, but like I said, he has moral responsibility to uphold now.

Anyways…

If I am being honest, this might be the best DBZ/ Super movie I ever saw. I’ve seen them all and they didn’t compare to Super Hero. Hope you guys watch it!
