Heavy flooding has swept parts central and eastern Europe, including several areas in Romania, Poland and the Czech Republic, resulting in at least 18 deaths.

Torrential rainfall and surging water levels over the weekend have collapsed bridges and damaged houses, with mass evacuations underway as more rain is forecast this week.

Poland's prime minister Donald Tusk announced a state of natural disaster in the flooded areas, with one town submerged in floodwaters up to two metres high.

Sky's Sabah Choudhury has the latest on the events.

I feel sad for the people there, also in Southeast Asia: Vietnam, Thailand, Myanmar suffers from flooding, and over 200 people already died. Many people have lost everything.

Prayers and thoughts are nice but these people need THINGS. Many have lost everything they owned. Contact the Polish RED CROSS.

Poland has a weather seeding system fired out of Pozan
And it's been firing lasers into polish skies for weeks, strange that this week it's been more active in Latvia so this is controlled by humans not climate change that doesn't exist
