I used to get envious when I’d hear ppl like this call in, especially when their ages are close to mine, but then I had to start realizing that a lot of things in life we can’t control but a lot of it we can. I made decisions in my past that have helped me get to where I’m at but also have hindered me from getting further or where I “should” be at.
Bottom line is, just do your thing and be the best YOU that you can be. Don’t worry about feeling “behind” if someone your age is way ahead on the track.
The best thing you can do is look ahead and decide on what you can control and make it happen.

How do a 27 year old and a 31 year old have $430, 000 saved when they can’t do simple
math? I’m dead serious. Inheritance? $150, 000 household income work $430, 000 saved is like a 33% savings rate for 9 years with a mortgage on 300k! Must have inherited a chunk of change.

I think some people call to hear themselves talk. They saved so much money its clearly that they are smart with money. they know what to do. why call? why not build? you have the money? so confused.

I cannot wait to start saving for a house. I have about $13, 400 left of $50k to pay off and it should only take me 1 month to fully fund my EF afterwards. I plan to be debt free by July and after that it’s throwing everything I have at savings.

They've managed to save $430K, while knocking out half of a $300K mortgage, and scoring $200k worth of land loan, on a $150K income in their late 20's. I'm having a hard time with this one. That $300K house in Kansas leads me to believe they are not the most frugal individuals. That is a lot of house in that area of the country, especially if they don't have kids.

It’s mathematically almost impossible for them to receive an inheritance OR some thing similar like a settlement. They only make 150 they have a house, separate land probably cars ect. Not hating just have common sense

The money was inherited or she got some settlement. With the household income that just don’t add up.
