I first went there in the summer of 1997 (a close friend lives there). At that time, there was a single ski-jumper that jumped again and again all day on the green plastic fake "snow", just for the tourists to enjoy. I also did the "hjul-bob" (lit. wheel-bobsled) ride, and it was INTENSE! At the time, there was no wire-net canopy on the sled, they must have had some mishap in the 26 years since I did it that called for increased safety measures.
Later I went skiing in the Lillehammer area a week or two before the Easter skiing congestion, and did that for years. The Hafjell and Kvitfjell skiing areas rival anything you can find in the Alps!

Who is the artist of the painting at 3:14? It looks like something by Grand Duchess Olga.
