Greetings Dr. I'm Arvind (D20202097104) from group B. Thank you for the Part 2 video Dr. From my point of view, this part basically explains that the one-sample sign test is a nonparametric procedure used to study the population median. It requires a random sample, continuous variable, and compares the observed signs (positive or negative) to the expected 50% probability under the null hypothesis. The test statistic is the smaller number of positive or negative signs, and the decision rule involves calculating the binomial probability. Understanding the concept of binomial distribution is crucial in determining probabilities in decision rules. The probability of interest is 0.5 due to the nature of the binomial distribution.

Greetings, Dr. I'm Sweta Jacinta Tanis (D20211100375) from group A SMS3123. The video is clearly explained and easy to understand regarding the one-sample sign test. From this video, I know that the test statistic used is different for different cases or different scenarios. This video also explained how to obtain the test statistic for the one sample sign test. Thank you, Dr.

Assalamualaikum wbt Dr. I am Nurul Hainisah (D20211100362) from group A. After I watching this video, I had learned about to obtain the test statistics for One-Sample Sign Test. This test is one of the non-parametric test. This test is to compare the total number of observations less than (-ve sign) or greater than (+ve sign) the hypothesis value. Furthermore, it has three scenarios that can allows us to make decission to reject the null hypothesis. Thank you Dr for the clearly explanation video.❤

Assalamualaikum Dr. Thank you for the video. I understand mostly the content of the video. But for the part that u explain why its parameter p=0.5, I feel like a bit confusing. Can u repeat again the explanation about that part? Thank you.

Good afternoon Dr., thank you for the short explanation about one-sample sign test and thank you also for repeating some of the idea that Dr had been told us during the class. It makes me more clear and confident with what I have in my mind now. For that I have 1 question on this video, it is about the Di = Xi - M0, I would like to know if it is possible for the Di be zero value because in notes it only state that the Di will consider positive and negative sign. (group A, D20211100372) Thank you Dr.

Assalamualaikum Dr. Thank you so much for the video. From my understanding, one-sample sign test is a non-parametric statistical test used to determine whether the median of a single sample differs significantly from a hypothesized value. It's often used when the data is not normally distributed or when assumptions for parametric tests aren't met. It involves comparing observed values to a specified median and determining if there's a significant difference based on the signs of the differences between the observed values and the median. Assalamualaikum dr, I'm Nurzuliana Atiqah (D100380) from Group C. From the video, i have understood about one-sample sign test where this test is one of the nonparametric procedures. The decision to reject the null hypothesis by using this test is based on three scenarios provided. Thankyou dr for your explanation.

Assalamualaikum Dr, I'm Nur Zulaikha Binti Zulkiplee (D20211100363) from SMS3123 group A. First of all, I would like to say thank you for making this video for our better understanding. Based on what I understand from this video, we use a binomial distribution with parameter p = 0.50 because the position of Mo separates our data into half, so when we find the differences, we will get two values, which are the -ve and +ve signs. From that, we will expect that the probability of getting that will be 0.50. Is it correct, Dr.?

Good Day Dr, I am Syathish A/L Ganesan (D20211100382) from SMS3123(C). Throughout this video, this video was about One-Sample Sign Test. Overall, having different scenarios for different H0 seems both interesting to learn and challenging to remember. However, you have clearly explained the assumptions for this test, possible hypotheses, test statistic formula, and decision rule Dr. Thank You Very Much for the informative video, Dr🙏.

Assalamualaikum Dr. From group A, I'm Tengku Nor Aini (D20211100360). I appreciate this video, Dr. In my opinion, essentially clarifies that the one-sample sign test is a nonparametric method for examining the population median. It compares the actual signs—whether positive or negative—to the predicted 50% likelihood under the null hypothesis, requiring a random sample and a continuous variable. The lesser number of positive or negative signs is the test statistic, and computing the binomial probability is required to follow the decision rule. Determining probabilities in decision rules requires an understanding of the binomial distribution idea. Because of the characteristics of the binomial distribution, the probability of interest is 0.5.

Good afternoon Dr, I am Nur Fatin Najihah Binti Farhat D20211100387 from group A. This video giving a clear understanding about the one-sample sign test where we have to observes the positive and negative signs compared to the null hypothesis. There are two different situations whether the n is larger than 12, we use this one sample sign test for n below 12.
