MSI H110m Pro D

I had no luck flashing from USB: flashing would either fail or not flash at all. So I renamed the file name to what it would be named from msi's site and changed the extension too (2H0 I think). Flashed with the stock mflash tool with no issues and pc booted just fine with an i5 8500. Not sure whether or not it makes a difference but i chose 11.7.1229 ME disabled

I’ve used Ch341a with neoprogrammer on Asus, MSI and gigabyte on z170 and z370. Had issues with Asus z370 1.8v chips but I think I powered it once without the 1.8v adaptor

AfuDos cannot write the Intel ME part of the BIOS if it is locked, which is normally the case! Also, the SKU hack will not apply! AfuDos WILL NOT REPORT an error in that case! If you are on Intel ME > 11.7V like 11.8V in this video, chances are very high your PC will just TURN OFF after 1 second with a coffee lake CPU. I guess he was lucky with the hacked notebook CPU. I tried with 9900k on Z270 and had to order the external programmer. Others reported the same behavior. Very annoying!

@PC Tech To change the extension, you have to select in explorer options to show known file extensions and then you simply righ-click-> rename and simply replace .bin to .rom, enter, yes - that's all. 😄😄

Ok so maybe you can help, I thought I did everything correctly but wjen it's in DOS auto flashing the only thing I see it flashing is the boot blocks? And that's it, once it's done it ends. I'm looking into trying to figure out why that happened.

Only issue I have is the core count
It only shows as 4 cores in bios
Any ideas ?
Mobo is MSI titanium mpower and cpu is 9500t (only for testing) don’t want to waste money on a i7 or i9 if I can’t use the extra cores
