This is an early access title and is still in development and Codemasters wants your opinion on it.

Darin uses the Thrustmaster T300 RS, T3PA pedals and TH8A shifter while running in a GT Omega Pro chassis.

Got to hand to you mate, you are the only sim channel that goes into detail like you do, you mention every thing, from game set up, to looks, handling, good channel keep it up mate .

I agree Darin, this game rocks! Best rally simulation since RBR is out.
Tweak FFB (google for non-official patch), set wheel weight to zero, select H-shifter with cluth option and set off every assist.
This game has got a lot of potential. I cross my fingers to CM do everything as fans should like in the future, i hope because this is only an Early access game yet

You really should revisit this.  The FFB is spot-on now, and they've added Pike's Peak and RallyCross.  I think it's the best title CM has come out with to date.  The guys working on Dirt Rally could teach the F1 team a thing or two. And while I thought that the courses were just "designed"...turns out they're real places. There's a Steam Guide showing where all the courses are in RL.

Looks like you have the co driver bug. No audio or visual. Lots of people have it. Game is amazing tho, i threw around 6 hours at it last night and its blown me away

i agree darren with force feed back. you feel nothing when going in a straight line, unless you do a jump. but theres some nice ffb while steering, it really needs to be changed so you feel something good while in a straight line it kinda spoils your experience.  i also feel that  the car just wont steer round some corners forcing you to use handbrake, especially in the mini cooper, and the mini should steer better than any of the other cars but seems to be the worst, i think some of the corners are deceiving on there sharpness. but the understeer or oversteer is exaggerated too much. find yourself slowing sometimes to a stop to go around corners you seem to go around fine earlier on, but its a great game, looks like a real rally location which is great, roads are a little tight but with better steering and good ffb shouldnt be a problem. :) and is fun.  darren, you have the TX and the T300RS  which do you feel is better. to me they should be the same. but the tx ferrari italia wheel feels better with force feedback effects. i wonder if its because of the light wheel. i havnt swapped them yet. how do you find those 2 wheels. i noticed the tx doesnt bang like the t300rs does when it does its spin.  but the t300rs is 1080p where the tx is 900 resolution. i kinda like the tx better for some reason. shhh dont let my t300rs wheel here us. :) lol.

for those thinking of buying the game, .. there is a navigator that calls out in rather good voice you upcoming turns, .. you can even set the timing as to how near each turn he calls the turn out to you.
This is realistic to rally racing as they use navigators / co pilots, ..
Also to note the car does get engine/ breaking upgrades as you go on, the set up on each track makes a large performance difference especially with the varied surfaces .

With a nvidia 970 level card  it runs well for single display even on a 55 inch lg at 4k display 60 refresh at all ultra graphics settings.
very easy Oculus set up for vr.

definite simulation, .. pop  a tire or break a tie rod, .. bend your frame and it behaves as such... limited repairs between stages of a comp means you will be making some hard choices on what you have time to fix  vs what you can deal with driving dmg on unfixed " neglect to fix that radiator and you will probably not finish the series for example."
forget to hire more crew members less work gets done ect.

I could have sworn I saw "Download Demo" on the Steam Page a couple days ago? What happened to that? Ever since buying Assetto Corsa early access, I've been very weary of buying early access sim racers. I hated the force feedback and haven't bothered checking out if they've fixed it, because I've been having too much fun with Richard Burns Rally.

It disturbs me that you cant hear your wheels locking or skidding properly. I think thats essential when you cant feel it very well on your fingertips.

The in-car speed dials is wrong. It said it's km/h but the number it's actually displaying is for mph

Running a g27 on the standard settings and the ffb is fine, no deadzone at the top for me.

Game looks good. Bodes well for F1 2015. Maybe you should try turning on corner indicators instead of the co-driver. I guess it's a bug.
