Just so you know…the tank in the thumbnail is a new tank that I just bought that is going to live in my office. Stay tuned!

What do you think about my reasoning for these aquarium sizes? What is your favorite aquarium size?

This is the kind of video that non fish folk look at and think we are weird. Me on the other hand is super fascinated at what you're gonna say.

Honestly, this video has me reconsidering my entire fish room. I've been breeding a lot of smaller fish and I think I'm getting to the point where the smaller tanks aren't really doing what I need them to anymore. On top of that like you said, for the fish I want to keep larger tanks are necessary. I've always kept small tanks except for a 180 I unfortunately broke during a move. Thanks for the video its given me some good things to think about

I have a 75 and a 40 breeder -- both great tanks. I also have one of the new 60 breeders, which I find easier to do tank mainenance on than my 75... because I'm old 😎. Great video!

Been looking at getting a large size fish tank for awhile now. You sold me on the 75 gallon 48x18 size! Thank you for this video!

Good idea! Small tanks are more trouble. I prefer a 6’ 125G over a 75. I do also love the 75 if you only have 4’ If you have the space go large!

I agree with you Zenzo! I really think changing up every once in a while is a good thing to do in this hobby. I’ve been breeding lake Malawi cichlids for quite a while, and now I want to move him to the lake Tanganyika in realm. As far as tank size I do like the 40 gallon breeders and the 75 gallon for all the reasons mentioned. I do like other size tanks as well, with the amount of diversity that you have I think would be very challenging to figure out what you could do with the tanks that you already have . Based on fish choices. Thanks for all the great videos sir🙂💯⭐️

Im tied between 10 gallons, 29 gallons, and 75 gallons. I feel like buying a stand and sorting out space for a tank has been the most expensive costs for fish tanks. Most satisfactory decorative stands have maximum sizes end up being for 10s, 29s, and 75s so it's been most easy for me to plan around that.

I think for a living room, a 29 gallon is best for entry level that want a low medium set of maintenance to be active at the beginning in properly establishing a tank, getting a decent diverse set of community tank mates, and having a nice tall and decently wide viewing area to view fish. It starts to be a more decent length for schooling fish which is also nice. It's big enough to make a statement but small enough to be versatile in space for most living rooms.

75 gallon+ is for those that ABSOLUTELY LOVE the fish keeping hobby (not minding the more maintenance requirements) and want to start out with MORE options for medium-sized to one (to a few) larger fish and want the living room space to be DOMINATED with the presence of an aquarium.

A 10 gallon I feel is the perfect tank size for like a pretty happy betta fish for their bedroom or tiny apartment/kitchen counter or whatever area that can skip the need for a stand. Can also be great to practice cheap enough nano aquascapes with nano fish and maybe some shrimp and snails. It usually won't break the bank and can fit comfortably in most desk spaces, night stands, etc.

I like the 40 breeder for well.... my fish breeding projects (Maybe that's why they call it that?), but while the depth is nice and the volume is great for the fish, I feel like the wider/stout viewing makes the viewing window feel REALLY thin/squinted, which makes me feel kind of cheated. Don't get me wrong its a great size tanks for a few projects, but I feel like if I want to stare at a tank for a good hours to take it in, I like a good height so I can feel like I'm looking not just left and right, but also up and down around corners a little more. Maybe this is just personal overgeneralization on my part, but I feel like people who get a 40 breeder, rarely stop the fishkeeping hobby at the 40 breeder feeling satisfied and complete as an owner with pet fish. At least, I've yet to see someone in my personal life and online with only a 40 breeder and I'd be prepared to bet the widened/stretched viewing window is likely why.

The 75 and 40 breeder tanks are my favorite tank sizes as well, for pretty much the same reasons that you gave. If you have the room I also like the 125, but not a lot of people have room for a six foot long tank.

I don't have a favourite aquarium size, but I do have a betta fish named Bagel 😜

After seeing your 5' 90g peacock cichlid tank, I knew that I wanted one too. I've now got a 5' 85g tank and I love it. And so do my chiclids. As always great video.

Thanks Zenzo. I look forward to the changes to come.
I really like the footprints of 40 breeders and 20 longs. They work best for my space. I do have many other sizes in my fishroom though. 😊

If you think you want to change around your fish room I think it's great. I know what ever you do, it will look interesting and we will always want to see your beautiful fish and new ideas

75 gallon is my favorite size. A manageable size tank that can house all but the largest fish, and has the versatility to carry most hobbyists from the absolute beginner community, to cichlids, to aquascapes, to even reef tanks if that's where you want to take your hobby.

I have 12 40 breeder tanks in my fishroom, I also like 50 breeder tanks they have really high surface to volume ratio with a 48 by 18 size, and they are not so deep, but I am not working with any really large fish any longer. I finished my cichlid phase years ago and now I am enjoying breeding new species of fish I have not worked with before.

I am really enjoying the 75 and 55 gal tanks right now - but gouramis are the biggest fish I keep at the moment. Am setting up a 40 this weekend though, for some brichardi, so we’ll see how I like it. Def will keep an eye out for how you change things up!

I have both a 40 and a 75 and I love them. Same reason the depth of the tank gives you a bit more of an opportunity to try different type of fish who need the depth to turn around. Wish I could get like a 150 for my Oscar’s but just can’t afford it at the moment lol

Awesome video, my favorites are 75 and 125, once u get up into 220 and 300 although i would like a 300 the water bills start getting up there when u have multiple tanks like myself

For me personally, I love the 5.5 and 10 gallon tanks for livebearer pair breeding/fry tanks while I currently have a 29 gallon platy/swordtail breeding tank that I want to upgrade to a 40 breeder. My favourite tanks are the 5.5 or 10 gallon for betta or above mentioned livebearer line breeding/fry holding tank (10 if you plan to do a big aqua scape with a betta), 29/30 gallon for giant betta (it will live much longer than in a 10-20 gallon and be less prone to being overweight and stressed from the limited swimming space), a lot of my favourite community tanks ive had before regretably downsizing have been in 40 breeders. I also love using 40 breeders for breeding pairs of Blue Acara or larger livebearers. 75 gallons or the 6 foot 125 for solo oscar tanks, selective American cichlid tanks and select African cichlid tanks such as your gorgeous African tanks.
