Wow. New studio, elliot without glasses and broken nintendo that I would just scavenge for the blue pokemon cover and throw in the bin. I am looking forward for new watch build too!

My man this is such a well edited video! I was genuinely smiling and giggling to myself throughout, and your personality really shows through in this one for sure. I've been a fan of yours for a long time and this has to be one of the best videos in terms of production quality, sound mixing, and overall editing you've ever put out.

Well done mate.

Great bit of editing in this video lol. I loved the smooth jazz montage and the cutaways to you wearing the headphones and the sound being muffled. Also so pleased to see it working, after all that effort you put into it!

This is just what I needed. Mine got the hinge broken, tried to replace it and I accidentally broke the top screen ribbon cable, bought another screen and I broke it again.
Third time is the charm.

I’ll probably never repair any DS myself but I still love to watch these

I did this once to a 2DS XL that another member of your Facebook group sent me in the mail. It was completely split in two. I ordered a full replacement shell from Ali but kept as many original pieces as I could and it's one of my favorite pieces in my collection because I literally brought it back to life.

This video is truly amazing. The fact that you soldered the antenna wire back together is true commitment and I praise you for that. Also I used to have a blue 3DS xl and this reminds me of the joy I had with it. Nintendo consoles before the switch has raw personality and that's why I love your channel because you give these consoles a new life so someone else experiences the joy of playing older Nintendo consoles!! Much love, DEUXNOVA.

anteanna is not just a single wire, its coax cable with ground around a core (signal).. you cant just solder it like that

As someone who also repairs 3ds in youtube this is always very satisfying to watch. Nice job!

The 3ds xl has this "cheaper" feel to it, so it wouldn't surprise me if the reason it has phillips screws is because they wanted to save a couple cents lol

You are a true master! I would not have the patience to even bother to repair this thing. But, you are next level genius!

Wow a 3ds xl looks a lot more intense to reshell than a ds lite. Fantastic work Elliott. I appreciate the time you spend cleaning the buttons and replacing the scuffed pieces to make it like new.

I love these types of videos so much, i recently finished modding my 2ds xl (needed to as it's a japanese machine), and i've now fallen down a rabbit hole and desperately want to try repairing and hard modding ds's. Great video man

Nice video again. But the fix on the antenna cable caught my attention. As it was a brave idea of yours, this is a nearly impossible fix. Cause these cables, also used in laptops and tablets for Wifi or 3G modules are Micro Coax Cables 😱🥺. Which means you have an inner core surrounded by an insulator, which is itself is wrapped in a wire shield for the "grounding".
If you take a look at the real antenna, which is just this cute little PCB, the 2 solder joints are telling that.
So i feel quit bad for you, in case of fixing that, you need to disassemble and put it back together again.

That editing. Beautiful. Soundtrack of the whole video too was amazing. Love it
