How to skate on rough ground // inline skating tip
Skating can be difficult enough to learn, but when you've grasped the basics and want to take yourself out on to real-life surfaces, things can feel impossible!
This little is something I use all the time while skating. It's good for any surface, but it's particularly useful for keeping yourself moving when skating rough terrain.
Give it a try.

The decisions on how to switch transitions from surface to surface in seconds must make the mind workout just as intense as the physical workout.

Excellent. I've been struggling with this . It's tricky to go from smooth to rough surfaces. I've been learning at an outdoor skate arena but it's not always desirable to go out if my way to get there. I'd like to just rip out of my house onto the street. This is helpful. Thanks Rich! #Flowskate

Interesting technique haven't tried that one before I'll be sure to give it a go at it. I usually just raise my forward skate toe upwards before hitting the small speed bumps or irregular raise surfaces.

Awesome to see a Scottish blader on youtube. I bladed for a few years. Those were good times.

Do different wheels/boots absorb the vibrations differently or is that just something you get used to? Skating on roads feels like an earthquake sometimes to me 😅

Very helpful to me, i live in Taipei and pretty certain the government is married to tile manufacturers because there is tile everywhere. Even the kitchens are made of bathroom tile. Fortunately the underground car park where I live is very flat, smooth, and empty.

Amazing dude. I’ve been skating since February and I’m so glad i came across this channel. You make some of the stuff look so easy. The curbs were mesmerizing sooo smooth. Mine are not like that 😅 how long have you been skating for?

Which skates are you riding in this video? What was your setup?

This is cool I can't skate over rough terrain without chipping my teeth or whatever, so I decided to go 3wd instead. Hopefully it will smooth out the terrain a lot

when on these rough grounds, do you prefer to have smaller wheels for manuverability/stability or 110mm wheels for a smoother ride?

Hey Rich! Any recommendations on wheels for general street skating like you're doing in your videos? Great tip here, thanks!

hi mate great video, i was wondering what type of wheels are you using? Im trying to break but my wheels are so gummy the friction is too much to drag or slide to break
