2. Moofushi Rocks
3. Bathalaa Thila

As you can see, the visibility was not the best this day - a lot of plankton from the full moon and the timing in general was early/ less light. But the ocean was so alive! And you will see in all dives, the bubbles and fins blowing in the wind because the currents were kickin! We used our reef hooks to sit back and watch the show 🤩 If you've never used a reef hook, they can be a little strange at first... but once you're clipped in its like you're on a ride!

Our first dive started out slow with a lone oceanic manta at Mahibadhoo Rock, aka Manta Point. This turned into 2, and then 3 playing in our bubbles. These majestic creatures never fail to amaze! They started to swim away and we were low on time, so we began to ascend. Just as I unhooked, a line of 7 mantas in a row came whizzing by! I flipped back on my gopro as fast as I could. It was incredible, and this 'manta train' is apparently part of their mating ritual - a rare sighting.

After this, we were midday at Moofushi Rocks, which wasn't the most beautiful spot but a ton of fish and whitetip reef sharks. I love the endemic 'sweet lips' fish of the Maldives!

At Bathalaa Thila, we watched blacktip reef sharks get scared away by a lost group of divers (rude lol). I also found my first nudibranch! And the bright orange anenome next to it was gorgeous!
