Four tips:
#1 Stay present
- don't translate every word the other person says in your head.
- don't try to make your response to what they're saying while they are still speaking.
- perfection is the enemy of fluency.

#2 Make learning English a necessity
- make a friend who only speaks English.
- try to use English to solve daily problems.

#3 Movies, TV Shows, Audio

#4 Listen to many accents

I loved #4 "listen to many accents" tip because it's very important to advise people that English is not only British or American. There are other people around the world speaking English, so the variety of accents is HUGE!

Thank you for your videos. They are great!

Yes, you're a teacher and you speak clear and slow so I can understand you a little bit more, while different people on YouTube speak anyway with half words, etc... Crazy!!

I also appreciate this one : "stay present". It will be very nice to apply it while speaking as much it requires many efforts from the speaker.

Thanks for your useful tips! And I was really blown away when I learnt your last tip: "Listen to many accents". I never thought about this but when I looked back, this seemed to be the reason I failed in my IELTS exam.

Listening with subtitles is my first step to become fast learner. Especially in listening and Reading. Thanks a lot for your help teacher Teela. 😊

I'm so proud to found your #1 tip by myself (by force myself to watch news TV channels) And it looks like the tip #2 did actually bring me to your video. Thanks that Youtube and YOU exist. I still learn so much and being more grateful at the same time. Love how you speak from the 2nd language learner's view which means you speak listener's mind 🤘🏼😊

All tips are really helpful. But one tip that I want to follow immediately is 'Stay present'. Sometimes I concentrate on a word which I don't know the meaning or I can't understand. It makes me not to understand the whole meaning of the sentence and context. And it also stresses me out and then I get tired. From now on, I will not foucus on a word and be obsessed with perfection. Thank you teacher Teela. Your lessons are really really helpful to me.

Hi there Teela, I just wanted to thank you a lot about the way you teach and speak the English language, I have already learned tons over your amazing videos posted here. I will pretty sure try the tip you shared about watching series and movies with and without subtitles through Netflix. I hope I would be able to improve my listening skill in this way, it might be both fun and helpful. Blessings to you and your crew, Teela.

Thank you for the class. Listening has been my hardest part to learn.
I will use the first tip you gave.
I try to listen the words and forget the persons: the gestures, the tone. It is a good point.

Teela speaks very clearly, I really enjoy listening to everything she says. I wish I had a teacher like her when I was in high school.

I've listened a lot of english teachers in YouTube, and this madame is fantastic, the best teacher. She has the feel, the "touch" that every one is looking for learning english. Thanks. Greetings from Mexico. (Espero que sigas aprendiendo mucho español. Felicidades).
