Question! What do you think is the most difficult part of listening to an English speaker?
Not recognising words? An unfamiliar accent? Fast-talking native speakers? Or something else?

I've been training my listening for 5 months and now I can comprehend Native speakers and even faster, and some contractions, so this come-in handy lesson got me some tips to keep going with my listening abilities. So thank you so much, Emma, for what you are doing for all of us, that's much appreciated. A huge hug from Colombia.

Thank you Emma, I have learnt something new. I think learning to write what you hear is an incredible way to learn fast, and how you explained it is really helpful. Thanks!

Sometimes we fall, sometimes we stumble, but we can't stay down. We can't allow life to beat us down. Everything happens for a reason, and it builds character in us, and it tells us what we are about and how strong we really are when we didn't think we could be that strong.

Thank you very much emma, really appreciate it, I wish if I had an English teachers like you when I was child but unfortunately most of them was just caring about their salaries and money not about our English level..
Thanks again I will always watch your videos from now on and I hope I'll get better with you ❤️🙂

Hi Emma! I use your lessons when I study and practice my English, especially my pronunciation. They help me a lot! I tried to listen to Ted Talks. Some of them are really difficult to understand because of so many new words and expressions, linking, reduced forms. But I don't give up and continue listening to different audio on YouTube. As you said, it's definitely is going to be something that pays off in the long term.

"Right now, there are people all over the world who are just like you. They're either lonely, they're missing somebody, they're depressed, they're hurt, they're scarred from the past, they're having personal issues no one knows about, they have secrets you wouldn't believe. They wish, they dream and they hope. And right now, they are sitting here reading these words, and I'm writing this for you so you don't feel alone anymore. Always remember, don't be depressed about the past, don't worry about the future, and just focus on today. If today's not so great don't worry! Tomorrow's a new chance. If you are reading this, be sure to share this around to make others feel better. Have a nice day!"💞😘💞😘💞😘💞😘

What a pleasant coincidence it is! I just thought about watching without subtitles earlier today, which is your fifth formula. Kinda frustrated that opportunity is inadequate over here but your videos are boosting me as always, Emma ❤.

Hi Emma, tip number 4 is the best for me. because sometimes I have problems understanding fast speaking English. I tested Ted talk and this is exactly what I need the most. It’s great how I can listen to interesting themes and repeat sentences several times. For me, you are the best teacher. Thank you very much

Hi, Emma! I’ve just started listening audible while reading “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time” (yes! One of your recommendations!) since yesterday. I’m glad to tell you that it’s a whole new experience and I’m enjoying it! Thanks, Emma! Your last tip of today’s lesson is new to me, so I’ll try it on the weekend.
Answering your question… to be honest, it is sometimes difficult for me to understand when I listen to children’s talk. I’m not sure why. Maybe the vowels are not clear? Well, in my real life, I don’t have any opportunity to talk to children in person, so I’m not in trouble, but I think this is the area I can improve (but of course I won’t imitate them! Now I only imitate your accent to make strong basics)
Thank you for inspiring me as always. Stay safe and have a lovely week❤️

Watching without subtitles is much more harder than speaking directly with people from English speaking countries. But your lesson is quite great. Thanks and loves your lessons. Every!

At first, I couldn't watch movies and series without subtitles. But I improved myself by watching videos on mmm English channel. And now I can watch what I want without subtitles.😃
My English test is approaching and I am not afraid of the listening test. Thank you so much Emma❤
