Just a guy in the U.S.A. finding your video. Watched a couple and they are very cool. Keep it up and thank you for the pleasant surprise.

I’m not a builder but I’m a mechanic in training, and your videos are very satisfying to watch and they are relaxing and just a nice way to wind down the day. Thank you for going through the extra effort during your job to make these videos

Oh man - I had to create a new access hatch in the hallway of my 1960 house, because the original was in a small closet and had a roof truss above it and offset 250 mm from the center line, meaning you had to be a contortionist to get into the roof space. Add in the typical shallow-pitch roof of these Kiwi houses and the only place you can sit upright is in the middle. Every time I have to go into the roof space (upgrading the existing lights to recessed LEDs), I am forever thankful I did this 14 years ago!

Only two friends...! I was about to offer me up as friend, then you managed with a screw and a scrap piece of wood...!   Great vlog. Working and vlogging works for you...!

That rat trap... makes this such a real experience. Thanks not editing that out. (And yes, I've spent way too much time in an attic with rats...) Cheers, man!

OMG, I thought that was a HUGE spider right by your hand. Whew. Just a star drawn on the wood with a sharpie, I think.

Use white, LED Christmas lights in the attic space. It will distribute the lighting more evenly, be a lot cooler, and take up less space as you can staple them to the peak areas of the attic space and you will never have to replace them. You can get them on clearance, the day after clearance at our nearest department store.

Very cool Scott, we have an old house with a nice high roof Apex and I'm going to sus out using a part of it as a loft. Really will depend on what's there. But being on the end of the house it won't have power, water or air conditioner vents.

Really like your channel as it's down to Earth and non-carpenters like myself can follow along easily.
