Abortion Preface: Challenge My Position

Note on self-defense: To say that justified killing in self-defense requires the person to be innocent of the threat does not mean that a woman is guilty of the threat a pregnancy might pose to her health. Unless she is somehow willfully negligent in predicting the likelihood of the danger she is going to cause in getting pregnant, she is innocent of the threat. A person who threatens someone with a gun, by contrast, is not innocent of the threat they may cause.
