That's Large foot print, frame looks almost set up for CNC. I don't have that kind of room. Ill probably us the CNC bearing and rod stuff and make a removable rifle stock frame (Part), that slides up/down to shorten my unit As I will be using mostly for smaller and stockier parts. Yours does look stable and stiff.

I grew up in the same generation as you, and really enjoyed the music! Y'all can just turn it down if you don't like it. I thought that it was pretty cool. And don't listen to all the haters. You have some skills, and you like to make things. All they do is complain and troll. Keep up the good work, and publish part 2 one of these days!

Ive made lots of fancy stocks by hand . It started, because Im left handed . I found the comb height and cheek peice always wrong for the big scopes I use . I bought one of those tracers, but havent tried it yet, I was thinking of gluing hard foam add-ons to get the feel in the right places . I also wonder about wrapping the whole original in thick tape, to get it oversized, so I can finish it to a happy size . I dont here of anyone doing that ? I guess you could add -on and make a manlutcher long stock too .

For a $5, 000 machine, and a few hours of work, you get a 75% finished stock. I can buy one, completely done for under $200.

I worked for a gun stock factory and I was a carver operator an the stocks were a lot smoother than this was .

Did anyone see the dog? No helmet, no goggles, no nothing, just walking around 😁

Why make an exact copy of a factory wood stock?

I get using it as a pantograph template if you used bondo or something to build up the comb or if you adjusted the length of pull, grip angle, etc. Why make it an exact copy?
