Bibles Undamaged After Fire Rips Through Church

After its church went up in flames, one congregation pressed on with its Sunday services. St. John’s Methodist Church in California held its weekly service in the parking lot under tents. The previous night, a fire destroyed their nearly 100-year-old building, which was unoccupied at the time. These worshippers chose to gather outside their burned-out church the next day and gave thanks for what they did have. Inside Edition Digital’s Mara Montalbano has more.

I knew a homeless man who gave his life to God and got a bible. He said while he was standing at his usual spot, he held the bible and it literally warmed his hands (it was winter). Last time I saw him he went back to college and was getting his life together

Although I’m a different religion then them, I’m glad no one was hurt or that their bibles didn’t get burnt in the flames. Glad to see them still singing and putting faith into their beliefs after the church is now ruined.

Every time I hear that a Bible didn’t burn down in a church, I remember what God saids that no matter what, his word stands.

Back in 1997 my parents home burned down and I mean EVERYTHING burned down with it. Except for our Holy bibles! We couldn’t believe it when we saw them untouched and until this day we still have them, they do still smell of smoke but that is about it. 🙌🏽🙏🏼

It's like God protected the Bibles for letting people know how you can't destroy his word. Also I hope those guys get their church back. As a word from a 15 year old Christian, May God bless their hearts. I really wish that people would stop burning down churches these days.

I'm not religious, and to be perfectly honest I feel like religion can generally cause problems, but I can't imagine the ahole who burned that beautiful building down, and took away something so special for so many people.
