EPANET is one of the leading design software in the Water industry! Today's tutorial will discuss how to size a submersible water pump in EPANET v2.2 for a rainwater harvesting network/system!

We will cover all essential topics ranging from pump selection, pipe sizing, system curve, pump definition, and pump curve all the way to how to determine the required pump head/total pumping/dynamic head! The essence of this EPANET tutorial is to solidify what we have been covering so far and to help you as an engineer to master this software, especially on how to use it for the "sizing of water pumps"!

And this is the reason why I prepared this tutorial! I hope this is going to be an informative WaterGEMS tutorial! Please don't forget to share it with your friend!RegardsEngineer Lodrick ThomasFounder @hydroinformatics Academy

I want to add one note: you can simply replace any nodes in Epanet by choosing the other hydraulic type and replacing it with the existing one. here you can select tank and just click on that node you have and replacing will go on and every detailed information like pipes connected and elevations will still remain.

Out of topic question but you cannot connect 2 pipes right? Need to put junction first?

I can’t understand why you don’t teach to use Reservoir? Our country we use reservoir.
Why you always come with water tank.
