Today we are going to be talking about the origin of True Darkness in Kingdom Hearts. All darkness is born from something, so what about the Darkness that started it all? Enjoy the video!

I think True Darkness or Willful Darkness always exists as long as there is a Willful Light.

I feel like that MoM and Darkness represents the balance. MoM and Darkness were once one and then they were split. Creating one being of light and one of Darkness which is like ven and van. Which explains why MoM is hiding because he is aware that if true Darkness rejoins with him then he will lose himself to his other half and then well the rest is history. They were once the x-blade the very weapon which was lost long ago

I think it is more like this. Kingdom Heart is like a Collective Unconscious, a Nexus God Portal. And Because They are Sentient and Conscious, They spawn the Whole True Light and Whole True Darkness. Perhaps the Master is the Avatar of Light and piece of the Whole of Kingdom Hearts. So too is Darkness.
The Master of Masters became a Human (Think the Legend of Zelda, and Hylia/Zelda), and Darkness became Formless ( Think Demise becoming Malice). And they fight over their Source.

what if, instead of the True darkness being from the masters of masters, it manifested as one being consisting of a body, will, and heart, but fell to darkness and cast away it's body retaining only it's heart and will. and he was the opposite of M.o.M a sort of embodiment of darkness. and both of them are spawned by kingdom hearts which seems to have a sort of ying yang thing going on.

I like to think darkness was created during a science project while the master of masters was in 5th It's possible.

This can also be something very plausible now that I think on it as well. If the 13 True Darknesses originated from MoM’s heart, it would explain why they’re not only so powerful, but MoM has such a personal “bond” with his possible other half. Maybe that’s also why he wears his Black Coat as well? To not only prevent more of his Darkness from “leaking”, but maybe protect his more “weakened” heart due to creating True Darkness?

We also know that Light and Darkness each make a greater whole right? It would go to show that each half would be similar to each other in a way (like Sora and Roxas/Ventus/Vanitas who each have their own similar quirks to each other). Hence MoM’s enigmatic persona and Darkness’s own mysterious behavior along with their respective and “friendly” interactions.

This would only make even more sense if MoM ends up actually being Sora as Sora has a similar “empathetic sense” like Baldr and Xehanort did/do. So…if one theory proves true, this could lend even more credit to the other one as well. Insane!😮

After that one scene with MoM putting his hands in a heart shape over a moon in Quadratum I have a feeling that the entire KH multiverse is in the constant cycle of expansion.
What if the "Darkness" came from another reality, and so they were human, but not quite, as per words of MoM.
And something happened and made darkness the new "truth" of our current KH reality, corrupting it.
Then we have Quadratum, a world devoid of light and darkness.
What if Mom's plan is to bring the keyblade weilders and all the light they gathered into that world, locking darkness away in the previous reality.
BUT in doing so his actions will poison Quadratum with light and the cycle will begin anew. With the natural inhabitants of unreality being forced to seek another reality to escape light.
And it is shown in the way MoM looks at the circular moon. As if he wants to forcibly reshape it. To redesign this entire reality to be suitable for denizens of light, with Kingdom Hearts reigning over all.
And maybe this is the cycle that Sora will have to put a stop on.

I know, there are quite a few holes to iron out, but that thought stuck with me since the secret ending.

We already know where the 13 true darknesses came from the X Blade was shattered into 20 pieces 7 of light which became princesses and 13 of DARKNESS
