How to fix Joycon not connecting to switch in handheld mode

Before doing this I recommend trying to reboot your switch and/or resyncing the Joycon. This is a last option fix.

This helped me after spending a lot of time trying to figure this out, the crucial information, "there is a connector that you have to push up from the BACK" 1:50

Great video! My issue happened after I did a shell swap and it turned out I hadn’t reconnected the bottom ribbon cable properly. Just opened it back up, took the bottom cable back out and put it back in but not as tightly and that’s done the trick!

Replaced my analog and the joycon stopped connecting on the switch. This helped me fix it. Thanks a lot mate

Worked for my right joycon !! Thanks. Joycons are causing me a lot of problems. 2 times sent both for repair under warranty for drifting issues. After that had to change left joystick for drifting and new strip for the lateral buttons of the left joycon. And now this....

This happened to me and I tried EVERYTHING. Nothing worked so I sent it back to Nintendo for a free repair.

Also mines wasnt registering ANY of my left joycons (one which I just bought a month ago) so I figured it was something wrong with the system itself.
