Biden impeachment hearing devolves into sparring match

A high-profile hearing House Republicans had hoped would provide more fodder for their impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden quickly descended into petty bickering.

The House Oversight Committee hearing Wednesday featured two witnesses invited by Republicans — former Hunter Biden associates Tony Bobulinski and James Galanis — who have previously met with the committee in private interviews. In those meetings, both have claimed that Joe Biden discussed business with Hunter Biden and his son's associates, which both Bidens have denied.

To be clear, since comments seemed confused, yea, she is right. "RICO" (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act) is not A "crime". It is a category, including a bunch of possible things such as gambling, murder, and arson. A 'crime' is a specific action someone took that was criminal. If someone committed a 'crime' you can say 'This person defrauded this charity during this time period for around this sum of money". Or "this person committed sexual assault against this person on or around this date". It is a specific action that you are investigating and charging. And that's important because this hearing, this long... long... process.... doesn't actually have any CRIME to investigate.

They're broadly saying 'we hope to find a crime in this area of things', haven't found any, their only significant witness was a Russian agent working for the Kremlin (a hostile nation) to destabilize us, and they're spending millions of tax-payer dollars Still trying to Find anything to charge. And are running an impeachment before finding a Cause for an impeachment, just on the Hope of finding Something. Its like the police dragging you out of your house and standing you in front of judge, saying 'yes your Honor, I'd like you to help me find something this guy might've done wrong 'cause I got no clue... but I really really want this person in jail'
