The Crow is one of my favorite movies of all time, it's also my comfort movie, I hold this movie very close to my heart. My grandfather had passed away very suddenly shortly after I turned 13, and when this movie came out I was still grieving his passing, so I was in a very dark place mentally and both the movie and the graphic novel, helped me through my grief. It's honestly tragic what happened to Brandon Lee while filming, it just made watching The Crow more emotional and heartbreaking to watch. Being able to listen to these wonderful soundscapes, reminds me of how much The Crow has left it's mark on the world.

This movie and everything it represents is the reason I am Goth. I’ve had a lot of people, including my own mom tell me “eww you look like a vampire since you’ve dyed your hair black” and “eww are you gothic? You look sick”. It’s really sad how people associate being Goth with being sad or evil - literally this movie represents the exact opposite and it’s the epitome of Goth. This movie is about the purest, truest love punching back at hate from beyond the grave. What is more beautiful that than?

I pity people who do not understand Goths or this film. How lucky are we to love The Crow.
