why get rid of the touch bar when they class it as a more premium part of it? and with 4 usb ports, that's 4 charging ports, why bring back the MagSafe?

Having an off die interconnect between the CPU and GPU would be a considerable bottleneck. Apple would need to put the GPU on the same substrate as they did for the M1 chip.

Just usb c / MagSafe / SD card will be enough

HDMI need cable anyway, if use really need HDMI, just get a usb c / tb3 to HDMI cable, for USB A, get replaced it to type c ASAP !

I am hoping to buy an M1X 16" MB Pro in early 2022. By then I will have saved up the $$$ to upgrade from my 13" 2017 MB Air. There is nothing wrong with the MB Air - I do music score orchestrations and could use the larger and higher Def screen.  

I will not be trading it in since it will be passed on to my wife who will, by then, most likely be ready to replace her 2016 iPad. We are retired and have to plan expenses carefully, but we are NOT willing to switch to the cheaper Windows machines.

Hope they actually ditch the huge bezels. I'll definitely pre-order the M1X 16" 1tb if they deliver all they say they would.

There are no rumors about dedicated graphics cards for the 16'' MBP, just increasing graphics power by twice the M1, so it will probably have the same graphics as 2019 model, 5600 (5.3 teraflops).

Hate, hate, hate the touch bar. I'm always bumping it whenever I reach for Delete. Hate it. I also wish Apple would stop switching charger plugs. I like to keep chargers around the house, and at $90 a charger (or more), I get tired of replacing 5 or 6 of them.
