As a professional photographer of 15 years, I respectfully disagree with you about the cameras. First, let me preface this by saying that the complaints you're having were all addressed in the latest update. Secondly, no smartphone camera is as good as professional equipment. However, the hasselblad color science that OnePlus is utilizing is as close as I've seen. Here's the difference between hasselblad color science and what apple, Google and Samsung are using. They all use heavily saturated color palettes. This is done to make high-definition displays look vibrant. Conversely, hasselblad color science via oneplus is all about true color. Unfortunately, heavily saturated color palettes are much like poor quality wine. If you drink enough of it, you don't notice.
As is the case with my 11 and 12, it's best to wait a month or so for the software updates to come before judging the cameras. Oneplus uses their community to find bugs and fine-tune the cameras. It saves money on R&d and it keeps their customers interactive. That's why there's always a lot of initial updates.

Actually, oxygen OS is my favorite. It's highly customizable and it isn't loaded with bloatware. Perhaps, Samsung should take a lesson?
On another note, the screen itself is flat. The minor tapered curve is just a bezel. It's not part of the digitizer. That's why there's no bleed over, Miss touches, Miss swipes or issues with gestures.
As far as updates are concerned, I'm happy with every other month. They're always on time and I've never had an issue. Speaking of which, there was a big update today for the cameras.

Photographer here. Color science on OP is top notch and color science and contrast ratio on pixel and Iphone is way off. So yeah. Keep repeating - "the cameras is baad. apple has better" without zero understanding in the topic.

I have to OP13 and the issue with the photos is the auto mode. Auto uses way to high ISO and adds a lot of sharpness. In Master you can set sharpness to 0 and even Auto ISO in Master is much lower.

They need a bigger optical zoom for the next phone. 5x definitely. Auto focus instead of fixed focus on the selfie camera. Better low light performance and keep on making the battery bigger!

My only complaint is I'm sad they got rid of the Periscope zoom and having six times zoom without using software is always much better I haven't seen any moonshots yet on the OnePlus 13 it would be nice to see if the OnePlus 13 could do it. I know my OnePlus 12 does a nice job of moonshots

The reality is I really like the pictures that come from the OnePlus 13 and I like the pictures that came from my OnePlus 12. Better than those that I see on iPhone now video from iPhone is a little better. But not enough to justify the difference in price and the decrease in overall hardware that you get with an iPhone

Totally agree with the cameras need to be improved. S25 maybe but Sony Xperia may just kill the market this year. The lack of Dolby Atmos missing is disappointing but they added Dolby vision. Why did they compromise on that. Maybe to keep the cost down. Everything else is brilliant. I have been testing the phone and have to say well done to them.

A pixel, a iphone and a samsung will cost 2 x more. 😊 Between the base iphone iphone (which is still more expensive) and this. This is better. There is a few pixel models in this price that has better camera but the tensor chip is useless i feel in other things. So ...nah not fair comparing phones with 400$price difference. It's like comparing oneplus 13 with a 400 dollar cheaper samsung model.

Needed a bigger phone and cheapest sd elite I could get here in my country so I pulled the trigger. got one for 680usd for 256gb excited for the upgrade in Screen and resolution. Cant wait to receive it 😂

So i just got my OP13 a day ago and. It didnt go so well. I like how the phone looks the battery life amazing. But one major the phone just stutters when navigating through it. Just opening apps and going from main screen to menu it stutters and lags alot.

I have headache about color OP13, blue or black? Many people say the blue version will crumble and get dirty in future, but black version paint is peeling off the frames. The same thing i have problem with etui, for example Ringke X Fusion or Nilkins with protection for island camera, people say its risky, beacuse some sand or dirt will appear under etui, can scratch island. Original etui, ma favourite aramid blue, it look nice, but doesnt protect island, so need stick some protect maybe. What do you think? Blue or Black, Leather vs Glass, and Etui Tanky or original? Regards
