Thank you for putting this out. I skipped the last couple of expansions and when I left I don't recall anything about Weakauras and now every place I go is telling me to load this weakaura or that weakaura and I was honestly confused as to what they did because the results of aura 1 was completely different than the result of aura 2. Now with a basic understanding I can dive in and actually figure some out. I am struggling with my UI right now and want to go minimalist but still have all the info I need.

Personally I like TellMeWhen a lot more as WeakAuras is often times way too flashy if you don't do them by yourself :-) Good Video though!

Your mini-map buttons gave me anxiety! Thanks to a reddit recommendation, I cleaned mine up using MBB, a little addon that just shoves them all under a single pop-out button on the mini-map. It's the bomb for cleaning up the clutter.

One of the reasons that WA is so powerful is that it allows a relatively accessible way for users to write and edit custom code. Unfortunately, this is marred by the fact that documentation on the current implementation of the WoW API is a bit spotty.

Weakauras is an amazing addon! My Monk's UI is literally just weakauras. I love Weakauras, . If Weakauras was a woman, I would marry her.
