The BEST part of this video....”how old is she? She’s like a year and a half..” lol I’m right there with you momma!

Where i live, parents tend to give their children a lot of toys to the extend that kids stop appreciating them and cannot enjoy playing with them. It is quite refreshing to see videos and parenting like yours. 🙂

Love this. Thanks for sharing. Kids are more capable than people give them credit for.

I love this video! I feel like your "version" of Montessori is more realistic. A lot of the blogs I see have very plain and simple toys. I can't believe she is already 18 months!

I've followed your channel for a while and while I'm not married or with children, I love to be educated on it all. So adorable watching her get the water omg 😭

Most of these setups are how ALL toddlers should be raised! I remember as a 3 y/o having the fake kitchen and household toys which made me super aware of how things work long before entering pre school and being aware of what my parents do around the house. Plus the toys are definitely good for learning. I still remember my first jigsaw puzzles and baby dolls. Talking to kids like adults is definitely important. I grew up around adults my primary years (I'm the oldest grandchild on both sides) so it made a huge difference in my vocabulary and speech. Plus i always had the desire to be independent. You're doing a great job. I try to send productive items and toys to my out of state nephew every six months (he's 28 months now) so i hope my half sister utilizes them with him. 😊

Harriet is one lucky little girl, having you for her Mama. I’m 64 and never had children but this has been such an enjoyable video. And seeing Harriet grow up and learn new things is such a pleasure. You and your husband are such good parents. ❤️

Love these! Would love to see more of your Montessori at home videos. Harriet is adorable. I have a 1 1/2 year old and I’m very interested in implementing some of the Montessori philosophies in our home

Love what you are doing. I have my daughter's little kitchen in my kitchen and I love it. She cooks while I cook. We have the same broom set. I have put away the duster and mop, because she always seemed to find the mess I just spilled before I could get to it; so just the brush, broom and dust pan hang on ours right now. I also keep it in the kitchen, because I can ask her to sweep while I'm cooking as well. All handy for occupying her time while I'm busy cooking at the stove. She feels so helpful and grown up being able to help momma. For dishes, I found a few Corelle plates and bowls in a fun pattern at the thrift store that I have been using for her this past year (she is 2 1/2 now). They work really well and were super cheap at the thrift store.

As an educator I really enjoy the Montessori method. The book is awesome! I used it to help my sister set up her home for Montessori. Thanks for sharing.

I like that your Mntessori style is integrated within the whole family life and your daughter is part of it rather than having everything hers separated (kitchen, toilet, etc) as if you have a home within the home. When did she start sitting on her chair?

And I turned some of my other toys into these kinds of activities. We have shopkins, for example, for the older kids. The little ones love nothing more than stacking the shopkins inside old popsicle maker parts (into the part that would hold the liquid for freezing). I’ve donated the other parts of the popsicle maker but kept a few holders for this purpose, and the keep going back to it. Also they love to put anything into little handbags so we have a box of toy handbags we’ve collected over the 12 yrs I’ve had kids, and we make use of everything in those ways. My husband is always asking me why I’m keeping egg cartons etc and I do so they can out shopkins in the segments also! Never ending joy.

This was great! My girl is 19 months so it's nice to see Montessori ideas for that age level. Love to see more!!!

So many good ideas! I’m thinking of making a little self care station in my daughter’s room with a mirror, her brush and comb, her water cup, etc.

I’m glad that it’s not too late for me to start. So many of these videos show moms who somehow have it all figured out but the time their baby is born.

Thank you for filming this. My daughter just turned 18 months, and I find that I have a very similar set up than yours. However, I've dropped the ball a bit, and I'm hoping to introduce her to more activities and practical life stuff. Watching your video is inspiring to me and helping me get going again.
