I have tons of friends involved in the WLAN Pi project, so I’m pretty thrilled to see it here! Great overview, thanks a bunch for this!

I’m a recently retired network manager and use the WLAN Pi for baseline analysis of private networks I support. It is a very cost effective and powerful Swiss army network discovery and management appliance.

Need something like that for cellular signals. Measure signal strength, carrier, and ability to create a sort of heatmap in 3 dimensions

Beautiful. I am literally working on a similar project 😂
This device has some of the features I was working on, and some I wasn't aiming for or even considering (because currently I am using microcontrollers instead of a single board computer).
Or to be more exact, the shipment of devices for ny SBC prototype is still en route from China 😂

I’m missing something, how is it not a more expensive/not as good Hack 5 Pineapple? Genuinely asking. Also, can you add GPS for wiggle?

Is that a UniFi mobile industrial in the background? The three antennas poking out behind your laptop…

Hey, Chris (and anyone else who knows), What is the name of the WiFi Scanner for Windows application? I watched that section twice, but I must have missed the name.

Ugh, I would love to have one of these for side projects I help out with. As of today, 27 AUG 2024, the WLAN Pi R4 BYOP Kit (not the fully assembled unit) is $231.89 shipped! I don't blame the developer; it just sucks to pay UK taxes.

Dang. Just having that Grafana setup would be amazing! Is there a way to set that up easily on Pi 5?

How fast of a Wi-Fi / LAN / WAN connection can this thing test?

My RPi 4's Ethernet port gets 500 Mbps at best, and my home WAN service is now 3 Gbps symmetrical, with Ubiquiti 10 Gbps LAN and the U6 Enterprise In-Wall WAPs.

Anyone know if this supports using the WiFiman scanner from ubiquity ?

Not sure where to ask this question, hopefully some one will see this comment that has some ideas. I've got a enclosed trailer that i've converted to a camper, and my phone gets literally zero connection to the cell towers. I use this phone as a hot spot and place it on the roof of the trailer, and barely get wifi inside the trailer.... Is there a more elegant solution. I've tried a cheap wifi range enxtender, but it doesn't seem to play well with android's mobile hot spot.

Grafana asks for a Login, what did you use to login please?
