Even if President Trump did not salute, what's the problem? There is no requirement that he salute the troops. Five-Star General Dwight D. Eisenhower, as President did not salute, nor did General U.S. Grant salute when he was president. If I were President, as a former Marine, I would not salute if not wearing a hat... So there!

I recall that on a windy day, as President Trump was getting on Marine One, that one of the marine's service cap blew off, the marine held the salute, but Trump retrieved the cap and placed it on the marine's head. another time when he forgot to salute, he popped his head back out of the helicopter and saluted the guys standing there

Play it on the slowest speed setting (under Settings|Playback Speed|.25). Right at the :01 mark, you will clearly see the edge of his hand appear directly below his chin. I can understand how some dignitaries might innocently forget to salute, but I doubt that President Trump would forget. He respects our military.
