he's talking about how easy the concept of dressing better really is.

i don't think he meant these specific colors set in stone. He was breaking down how simple it can be, because many guys find it intimidating and overwhelming, especially with all the arbitrary 'rules' that come with it.

The most important thing he left out is to get your suits tailored and fit.

You’re missing a big part here. Having the black suit and tan suit gets you access to pairing those pieces with the other colors. Maybe not full black or full tan but like black pants and grey jacket? Tan jacket and blue pants? The reason these five suits specifically is to have a huge variation of “suits” without having to buy more than five due to them being a good color palette. The shirt colors further amplify this but making the same suit-pants combo look different with different shirts. Again, playing off of the color pallet, hence the cream shirt. You’ve completely missed the mark on this one and don’t understand the genius behind this pallet. It’s extremely cost efficient and the perfect intro to suits. I’m glad I didn’t see this before I bought my set. I may not have tried it out. Don’t let this guy discourage you. Literally look at the videos everywhere on people trying this. It works very well.

I’ve never struggled with making a black suit look good outside of formal events. I cannot relate to you all and Im not even Tom Ford haha.

Respectfully have to Disagree. Cream shirts go well with Burgundy, Grey, and Chocolate Brown.

I believe if anyone else had better advice, it would be out there. For 75 Combos.... he's a LEGEND FOR THE ADVICE.

Suggest a better one... link the Video. Would love to see, 75 Combos of 5 Shades you believe are better.

I think he means an off-white shirt, it a cream shirt..But a cream shirt is very versatile..Especially with tweed sport coats for example..A white shirt with a tweed sport coat would be too startk a contrast, whereas a cream or off white shirt lends a softer contrast

I agree with Steve. It don’t matter about skintone if you balance well with accessories. Tan suit with blue shirt is good for all pending fit.

Did you not watch the actual clip about the suits? He literally said exactly whachu said about the black suits of where they could be worn

Tan colors are good with some shades of brown. And for the summer / fall seasons. You can pull it off and yes skin tone does vary. My first suits were gray and navy. I do have a black suit but only for funerals

You didn’t get the point of the video. Maybe watch the full episode to understand what he meant. I was pointing that you can make many outfits with just a few clothes.

I would only buy dark navy, light navy, charcoal, medium grays and light gray for suits. The grays for summer would be lighter shades than comparable types for winter because of seasonal appropriateness.

However, the navies would be the same shades for summer and winter. Navies are the only blues that look good for a suit.

Midnight is too close to black (it’s actually no better but also no worse than black) and blues other than midnights and navies are too light even when dark. However, all grays that are neither near black (the darkest charcoals) nor near white (pearl grays) look good for a suit.

For shirts, nothing other than light blue solid (not near white) and white solid with matching collars and cuffs only.

Cream shirts are great😐 i don’t see what you’re saying tbh. If you can’t make your purchases that allows you to look good in the clothes you buy, then quite frankly, simply your purchasing is the issue….
