I can tell that most of these videos are made based on pictures & most likely hearsay than the actually reality of experiencing these places... I am 🇿🇦 and I get shocked everytime when I see Durban Outside the top 10 when the word beautiful is the topic, not only that what shocks me even more is seeing the Mega city Johannesburg and the capital Pretoria placed ahead of Durban. Johannesburg is definitely the largest urban area or city in Africa in terms of urban land mass. It is Mega, massive and we normally refer to it as " The Concrete Jungle", Kwandonga ziyaduma in my native language because of its endless skyscraper landscape & you will laugh at me when I say it is larger than New York in reality, probably by miles but not in the population department. However Joburg is not as beautiful as Durban or Port Elizabeth. Yes Cape Town is by miles the most beautiful South African / African city, Durban is definitely the next if beaty is the word whilst Joburg is the undisputed most developed African city with a bit of both worlds ( beauty & the beast). You want to see architectural galleries and natural beauty then go to Cape Town & Durban. If Concrete or Skyscrapers is your thing then Joburg is your place. Pretoria is another well developed & large city that will give you a sort of Joburg experience or Office vibes. Bloemfontein, Nelspruit, Pietermaritzburg, East London, Kimberly, Polokwane are other notable cities that could change this list easily or make most of the cities here look like small towns.
