If you're going to tag a video for future retirees, it would be so helpful to include the basic cost of living in USD for housing, food, healthcare, energy and IT access, and the visa process for diaspora. I moved to Mombasa in 2021 after being in Tanzania for 10 months. I didn't like it there. But I've remained in Kenya till now. My monthly budget is $650.00 which includes rent for a 2 bedroom 2 bath apartment, electricity, WiFi, food and entertainment. I go to the beach most days. Most people speak some English 😊😊😊

I’ve been to most of the countries in Africa and I can tell you that considering safety, cost of living, food, people(locals friendliness), economy and culture is very important in drawing up the list. With that said and with experience, I believe that it these countries are the top 5

As a Namibian, I approve of this video. I will advise the following:
1: Be cautious wherever you go.
2: Don't walk alone at night.
3: Carry Pepper spray or a tazer at all times
4: Don't wear flashy sh!t.
5: Remember that the majority of the population in ALL African countries live in poverty, and there's a good chance your lifestyle surpasses theirs by a massive margin.

The minimum wage is +- 1 - 2 USD /hour depending on country, and the general unemployment rate throughout is about 30 - 50%, and average basic cost of living is upwards of 400 USD. Remember that.
