Why the Step Pyramid of Djoser is my New Favourite Pyramid!

Out of all the Pyramid complexes I visited this September, I have to say the Step Pyramid of Djoser, situated at Saqqara, was by far my favourite.

It has a vibe like no other sacred site. It has this huge courtyard in front of it, and it was once surrounded by beautifully decorated structures and a boundary wall. Going inside and then looking down to the huge and bizarre sarcophagus was a sight to behold.

Giza, of course has the majesty, but Saqqara really has the splendour. A truly magical place to remember. It’s no wonder the Ancient Egyptians viewed this as a sacred site for centuries.

Me too, the Great Pyramid was awesome to see but the step pyramid the first stone-built monument in history was awe-inspiring and very surale to touch a big part of human history I will never forget my trip to Egypt
