WHAT IS AN EVAP LINE ON YOUR PREGNANCY TEST?

An evap line (evaporation line) is a faint line that appears after a negative test has dried. Because tests are typically meant to be read three to five minutes after they are taken, the tests are still damp at the time they are read. After this time frame passes, the urine in the test dries or evaporates, leaving behind a faint line. So I took two tests at the same time. One didn’t test at all. No lines. The other had both lines but one was faint. This was within 10 minutes. What does this mean? I’m gonna get another test but I’d like to know and yes they were Both pink lines

This info is so helpful!! This gave me relief & I wasn’t sure if mine was positive or not. Thankfully it is just an evaporation line. Mine is a very faint gray line when the line is red or whatever color it is when it is positive. Whew! I’m relieved.

My problem is I keep getting very faint lines the past couple days but once they dry the line isn’t as visible? My period is still 6 days away so I know it’s early but it’s very discouraging to get a positive then go to look at the same test later in the day and the line be almost gone.

mine had no line but had a blue ink smudge for a minute? but slowly it turned to a vertical line but it doesn't cross over the control line... it is blue but cut off was the test inconclusive?

I took a early preg test blue dye there’s def 2 blue lines but I’m scared it’s a false positive I was going to send a pic but it won’t let me my question is if it’s blue at all is it a positive ?

I had a really faint line at 10 dpo that showed up within the 3 minutes and I got so excited but the days after that I got bfn’s and my uterus started contracting and cramping
