If you just smack the crap out of it once in the center next to the studs, it will pop right off.

My shop teacher used to have a pretty good saying if you're going to hit something, hit it. Smack the rotor hat two or three times between the lug studs don't hit the studs that works 90% of the time when it doesn't work, you're probably going to end up breaking the rotor. Also check to see if there are threaded holes in the face of the rotor to put bolts in to pop it off
