Nurses Save 83-Year-Old Man Who Collapsed at ATM

Quick-thinking nurses saved the life of an 83-year-old man. The scary incident happened in Melville, New York. Daniel Greco collapsed in full cardiac arrest at an ATM. Exactly 15 seconds later, a woman saw the stricken man on the floor. She rushed into her office and screamed for help. The 83-year-old man suffered a medical emergency next to an office filled with nurse practitioners. They revived him as paramedics arrived.

the craziest thing to me is the ATM is inside a small office building, directly across from a practice office.

as a lifeguard, i dont only have the ability to help at work (in the pool), but also outside of work. I noticed a man who had fainted and was unconscious but was already receiving help, if that same situation had no help, I would have known what to do. Get CPR/AED certified guys.. it literally takes a few hours and can save a life

I wouldn't know what to do for this man other than call 911. That's what makes nurses quite different form the rest of us. Treat them well, especially those overworked in hospitals. Nurses, like teachers, deserve more simply from the fact they directly touch so many more lives than the average person does through their day-to-day work.

This happened at the gym I go to. The right people were there. Someone knew CPR, someone knew where the AED was located. Others cleared the area and people were sent to show the paramedics where to go. The man survived to be able thank those who helped him.
